Kakao Pay Living bill payment is Korea's first mobile messenger-based electronic bill payment (EBPP) service. Manage all your scattered living expenses, gas and electricity bills, telecommunications charges, and local taxes all at once with Kakao Pay. From notifications received via KakaoTalk to payments, all in one place!
The project's goal was to improve the current fixed payment pattern for single-item living bill payment, and to enable payment management for more types of living expenses through Kakao Pay.

The excessively tall vertical structure has been simplified into six categories.
The existing Living Bill Payment home screen had a problem: its height continued to grow indefinitely with each new bill payment option added. This made navigation difficult for users and discouraged them from using new services. Therefore, we've categorized the approximately 40 different Living Bill Payment options into six categories, reducing screen height and improving navigation.

Additionally, scattered tax screens have been simplified into one tax category screen
We have improved the system by integrating the screens that existed for each entity paying the fees into one integrated category, allowing for management of various fees on a single screen.

On the new abilling home screen, just check the message.
Users can immediately take action by simply checking the main message without having to go through complex navigation, such as checking all fees.

Nudge them to connect new rates through their MyData history.
If a user pays their living expenses through a method other than Kakao Pay, we will check the details through My Data, introduce the benefits of Kakao Pay to the user, and encourage them to pay through Kakao Pay.

Customized graphic assets
While various rate plan graphics exist, we've edited Kakao Pay's basic graphic assets to add depth, such as gradients, and modified colors. This provides a unified graphic experience unique to the Living Bill Payment service, ensuring a consistent user experience.

Users only need to select six intuitive representative rates, without having to know the names of 40 complex and unintuitive billing companies. Kakao Pay automatically connects the right billing company for them.
